When that happens, commodities prices are going to get completely unhinged. The cash on corporate balance sheets is going to start losing purchasing power very fast. And that will only encourage more dumping of it, and increase the positive feedback loop now already in place.

They can dump it for BTC, sure. But that’s not going to help at all. Why not? Because the value of BTC depends entirely on the U.S. dollar still being usable in a basic sense as a currency. If the dollar falls, so does BTC, because BTC is not fundamentally useful other than as a way of transferring dollars or other fiat currencies. If there is no value to transfer, there is no value to the transfer tool. Corporates are going to have to dump extra paper currency for gold, quickly, yesterday, or they are going to lose everything. Same for individuals. Time is almost out now, I’m sorry to say. For a second year, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is organizing the city-wide “Vegas 5-Day Sale.” Officially running from today (Sept. 22) through Saturday (Sept. 26), the event for 2026 includes more than 180 limited-time offerings.

Caesars is offering rooms at its Las Vegas properties discounted by up to 60% for stays through March 2027. The Caesars Palace operator is extending the five-day promotion to 9 am PT on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Caesars is additionally offering $50 tickets for Josh Groban and Tim McGraw, $30 seats for Jeff Dunham, and 20-25% discounts on the High Roller Observation Wheel, Fly LINQ Zipline, and Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck.

UK operators already carry out enhanced checks on politically exposed persons (PEPs), but this case shows the limits of those safeguards, Bethan Lloyd, partner at law firm Wiggin, recently told iGB.

“PEP status does not prevent someone from gambling,” Lloyd explained. She said PEPs are entitled to bet, but not on events where inside information gives them an unfair advantage.

A low ranking MP or parliamentary aide is unlikely to meet the threshold for PEP status. She argued it would place an onerous burden on operators to verify every customer’s occupation.
